Murfreesboro’s Pumpkin Fun Run Set for Oct. 11

Grab your pumpkin and run with the Murfreesboro community at the Gateway Island Reception Center.

Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation is inviting the community to participate in the Pumpkin Fun Run on Saturday, October 11, at the Gateway Island Reception Center.

Participants will walk, run, or jog a 1-mile loop while carrying a pumpkin. Registration begins at 3 p.m., and the Fun Run will start at 4 p.m. Admission is free, though attendees are encouraged to bring a canned good to donate to Greenhouse Ministries.

The event will feature door prizes, medals for all participants, and light fall refreshments following the run. Organizers describe the Pumpkin Fun Run as a fun way to celebrate the season, get some steps in and give back to the community.
