The Big Backpack Giveaway for Williamson County will take place on July 25 and August 1.
This drive-through event will provide free backpacks filled with essential school supplies to students of all grade levels. The giveaway is made possible through the generosity of community organizations, local churches and businesses.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 25, at the Franklin Special District (FSD) Performing Arts Center and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, at Fairview City Hall.
“The Backpack Giveaway is a wonderful example of Coordinated School Health in action,” said WCS School Health Coordinator Ashley Filippo-DeGuire. “By helping students begin the school year with the supplies they need, we are reducing barriers to learning and supporting their overall well-being. This event reflects the power of our community working together to ensure every child has the opportunity to start the school year ready to learn.”
The FSD Performing Arts Center is located at 1030 Excellence Way in Franklin. Fairview City Hall is located at 7100 City Center Circle in Fairview.
