Where Every Family Matters

Boro BBQ Festival is Back at Hop Springs

Who's ready for a finger-lickin' fun time at the Boro BBQ Festival this Saturday, April 26?! 🍖️🔥🥩

Attention, Middle Tennessee meat lovers! The 13th annual Boro BBQ Festival returns to Hop Springs in Murfreesboro on Saturday, April 26th. The official Kansas City BBQ Association competition and community festival is hosted by the Murfreesboro Breakfast Rotary Club from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Attendees can expect smoky aromas, sizzling grills, over 100 vendors and live music while professional and backyard competitors from across the Southeast compete for a $6,200 purse. Plus, there will be family activities (some are free while other will have a small charge).

Can we eat BBQ?

Yes! – and no. The cookers are dedicated Kansas City BBQ Association competitors and they, by rule, cannot share their competition ‘Que with the public, but many are willing to cook a special pork butt that they’ll submit to the court of public opinion (that’s you) for the People’s Choice Award competition. A small charge will get you six 2-oz samples of competition BBQ. That’s 20 ounces! If that’s not your thing, there will be other food vendors, like (more) barbecue, hot dogs, kettle corn and more.
