Where Every Family Matters

Celebrate Christmas in Downtown Murfreesboro

Come for the public Christmas tree lighting on the Murfreesboro Public Square (N Public Sq., Murfreesboro) on Friday, Dec. 5.

In addition, the event features entertainment, caroling and of course a visit from Santa.

At 6:30 p.m., stage performances kick off an hour-long program of choir music, dancing, acting and live instruments. Featured performers include:

  • School of Rock student bands
  • Rutherford County and Murfreesboro City School Elementary Choir
  • Center for the Arts performers
  • The Dancer’s School

The highlight of the evening comes when Santa Claus arrives on stage to light the Christmas tree, officially welcoming the season to downtown Murfreesboro.

Pictures-with-SantaSanta goes into the Rutherford County Courthouse (1 Public Sq S, Murfreesboro) for free photos from 7:30 – 8:30 p.m., with continued activities and entertainment outside.

More Santa Photos inside the Courthouse!

Santa’s not heading back to the North Pole just yet! In addition to Friday night, he will be ready to hear all your Christmas wishes and take photos on Saturdays, Dec. 6th & 13th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. inside the courthouse (1 Public Sq S, Murfreesboro).
