Culture is everywhere and can be seen in everything we do, but immersing ourselves in different cultures than our own isn't something we're able to do all too often in our area. The Celebration of Nations festival, which is held by Sister Cities of Franklin and Williamson County, provides an opportunity for your family to see what life is like for many different groups of people from vastly different parts of the world. The free cultural bazaar will run from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and will feature booths representing various nations and cultures. The festival aims at creating understanding between different cultures through the immersion and celebration of different nations. The event will feature food vendors offering unique foods that you may not have ever heard of or tried before, music and dance stages, craft and art vendors, and more. The festival is a great opportunity to make fun and lasting memories with your kids.
At 6 p.m., fun local cover band "Rubiks Groove" will play international hits as well as some of your own personal favorites from the 70's 80's, and 90's. Culture is an integral part of life that can be experienced in tangible ways like taste, sight, and sound and is an opportunity for your kids to gain deeper insight into life beyond our area. There will be art and cultural food vendors, and a global beer tent as well.
VIP tickets for the nighttime activities which can be purchased here.
