For the first time ever, Belmont University’s annual concert tradition, Christmas at Belmont will be available via global streaming this December. Beginning Wednesday, Dec. 11 at 7 p.m., Christmas at Belmont Live From Nashville (sold out this year) will stream to global audiences. Families can catch the show during the holiday season on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch.
Christmas at Belmont showcases Belmont University’s musical talents through traditional carols, classical masterworks and seasonal favorites. In addition, this year’s event will feature Belmont alumni Ashley Cooke, Cody Fry and Dwan Hill. The 90-minute show will be filmed live in front of an audience on Monday, Nov. 25 at the University’s Fisher Center for the Performing Arts with more than 600 student musicians and vocalists.
Back Story
The Belmont holiday production is a long-standing tradition. As a musical TV series in 2003, it featured more than 400 students. The show was broadcast in 2021 on PBS with notable guests including Michael W. Smith, CeCe Winans, Sheryl Crow, Kathy Mattea and others. Over the years, the production has been at various venues including the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. It is now housed at the state-of-the-art Fisher Center for the Performing Arts.
“Christmas at Belmont” will be filmed live in front of an audience on Monday, Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. A second performance takes place on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 p.m. Both dates are sold out.
