Where Every Family Matters

DAD REPORT: Lost Worlds Seatopia

Take a deep dive into this HUGE new ocean-themed indoor playground in Murfreesboro.

Most parents may think it’s impossible for their kids to play “under the sea” without getting wet, but those parents haven’t taken their kids to Lost Worlds Seatopia, a new oceanic-themed indoor playground now open at 1660 Middle TN. Blvd in Murfreesboro.

Sister store to Lost Worlds Dinotopia (the dinosaur-themed indoor playground in Madison), this massive recreational facility for youngsters features two ball pits (one for big kids and one for toddlers), tons of slides, trampolines and even a race track complete with little four-wheeled pedal bikes.

A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR ALL AGES

We recently took our 6 and 2-year-old and I’ve literally never seen them play so hard. My little one B-lined it over to the area specifically for littles, where she played with the fruit & veggies in the “grocery store” area for a while. After that, she hit ball pits (which unstereotypically of ball pits were so nice and clean!).

My older boy, however, was determined to go down all of the sides (they have roughly eight in total, including a “super slide” that requires a tube to go down). He also really enjoyed the “sports” area complete with basketball/soccer goals, inflatable bowling and even inflatable axe throwing.

Here’s some pro tips: dress in light clothing (as it gets warm in there); make sure to keep the special socks so you don’t have to buy them again when you go back; check the weekly specials to save a few bucks! Though we went on a weekday, it wasn’t too packed with kids, which was nice. The staff was very helpful and kind. There was even a concession stand with a (very tempting) bar for adults.

HOURS & PRICES

The new Murfreesboro location’s hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Tuesday from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Prices are $21.95 for a two-hour pass; $26.95 for an all-day pass and $5 for parents. They also have specials, like $17 for a “Mommy and Me” pass for ages 2 and younger; $17 for a two-hour pass on Mondays and Wednesdays; and $19.95 for “Twilight Hours” the last two hours of the day.
