“Deck the Hulls” Christmas Boat Parade Dec. 14

Enjoy this beautiful boat showcase in Sumner County!

The 10th annual Sumner County “Deck the Hulls” Christmas Boat Parade will be held on Old Hickory Lake in Hendersonville on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Each year, thousands of spectators will watch the parade on both sides of Drakes Creek from vantage points ranging from the starting line at Mallard Point Park to the turnaround point at Sanders Ferry Park (513 Sanders Ferry Road, Hendersonville).

Sponsored by HolidayFest, parades feature a colorful fleet various different boats, each adorned with holiday lights and decorations. The parade also has an emcee, who keeps the crowd informed by providing information about the boats and their owners.

At the conclusion of the event, the participants will be judged on originality, theme and creativity.

Along with the parade, several food vendors will serve up warm drinks and tasty treats at both the Mallard Point and Sanders Ferry Park viewing locations.
