Located in the heart of Franklin, TN, Act Too Players is more than just a youth theatre program—it’s an award-winning performing arts school that transforms kids into confident, creative performers. Since 2002, Act Too has grown from one small class into a thriving program serving nearly 400 students each semester, and it continues to be recognized as one of Williamson County’s Best Youth Arts Programs and Top Theatre Companies.
What sets Act Too apart is its commitment to education through performance. Each semester, students ages 4–18 participate in fully staged musical productions, performed at the historic Franklin Theatre and other local venues. With titles like Frozen Jr., Matilda, Annie, The Little Mermaid, and more, the lineup features exciting, age-appropriate shows where every role is played by a student. Whether your child is new to the stage or a seasoned actor, Act Too provides a place for them to shine—no audition required to join.
Every production is supported by a team of experienced directors, choreographers, and vocal coaches who guide students through rehearsals, teach them core performance skills, and help them build confidence and self-expression. The result? Professional-quality productions that wow audiences—and unforgettable experiences for the kids involved.
In addition to shows, Act Too offers training in acting, dance, vocals, and technical theatre. Students develop not just their artistic talents, but also essential life skills: teamwork, time management, communication, and resilience.
Act Too’s impact goes beyond the stage. Through its nonprofit foundation and Act Too Includes program, the school provides scholarships and inclusive opportunities for children in foster care and those with special needs or neurodiversity.
