Fall & Winter Camps for kids 

What are the ASC Fall & Winter Camps?

The Adventure Science Center offers camps during school break periods — specifically during Fall Break and Winter Break. These are STEM-focused, hands-on day camps where children get to explore science, technology, engineering, and math through experiments, creative activities, and exploration.

They are designed to be safe, memorable, educational, and fun — with teamwork, curiosity, critical thinking as key parts.


Who It’s For

  • Kid’s age: Kindergarten through 4th grade (sometimes higher depending on the specific camp theme)
  • Campers must have entered Kindergarten to attend.
  • Before-care and after-care are options for families who need extended drop-off or pick-up.

When & Themes

  • Fall Break Camp: The week of October 13–17, 2025 is one upcoming one. The theme for Fall Break 2025 is Science Explorers. Each day corresponds to exploring one of the five senses (sight, sound, touch, smell, taste) through experiments and sensory-based activities. Schedule & Daily Details

  • Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM with check-in from 8:30-9:00 AM and check-out from 3:30-4:00 PM.
  • Before Care is available starting earlier (e.g. ~7:30 AM) and After Care lasts until around ~5:30 PM, for an extra fee.

Cost

  • Week-long camps$399 for non-members, $349 for members.
  • Single-day camps$79 for non-members, $69 for members.
  • There are reduced-price/subsidized options for families who qualify (using SNAP, WIC, TANF) for both week-long and single-day camps. Spots are limited.

What Campers Do

  • Hands-on experiments and scientific explorations/exhibits. Adventure Science Center+1
  • Sensory-based activities (for Fall Break themes) where the five senses are explored.
  • Coding, circuits, creative holiday tech projects (Winter Break theme). Visits to the museum exhibits, possibly planetarium shows, live demos, crafts, group challenges.

Registration, Policies & Other Info

  • Registration is via the Adventure Science Center’s website under “Camps.” Adventure Science Center
  • There is a cancellation/refund policy: for non-summer camps, if cancelled 28 days or more before the first day, full refund minus small fee; more than 14 days prior gives 50%, less than 14 gives no refund.
  • Meals: campers bring their own snacks and lunch, or they can order lunch from onsite (Subway) if they commit for the week.
  • Gift shop money is not encouraged; the schedule does not typically include a stop at the gift shop
