Are you looking for a family friendly, free and fun event to attend? Head over to the Discover White House Expo and Safety Day presented by The Farmers Bank on Saturday, October 1 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City Hall Complex (located at 105 College Street).
There will be a variety of businesses and organizations with vendor booths, food trucks, shopping, artisans, Historic demonstrations, free puppet show presented by Cherry Mound Baptist Church and so much more! Temple Baptist Church and Cumberland Pediatric Dentistry will have Fun Zones featuring free face painting and balloon twisters.
In addition to the activities listed above, the City of White House Police Department and Fire Department will be hosting Safety Day. This will include police cars, fire engines, ambulances, police horses, SWAT units and more. The Parks Dept. is hosting their annual bike parade (registration opens at 10 a.m., parade begins at 10:30 a.m.), kids of all ages are invited to decorate their bikes and ride through the festival grounds. Throughout the day WHPD will be hosting a bike rodeo to provide bike safety information to young riders. There will also be several bike giveaways courtesy of State Farm Insurance Mike Gaines.
