Draper James, Reese Witherspoon's lifestyle brand with retail shops in Nashville, Dallas, Lexington and Atlanta, releases a brand-new line of Mommy & Me clothing starting today. The limited-edition collection is a partnership between Draper James and Rockets of Awesome. The two entities teamed up with the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) to design the collection. The project incorporated several SCAD students across several degree programs. The collection was recently unveiled at the university's annual fashion celebration, SCAD FASHWKND, that took place May 17 – 20, 2018.
ABOUT THE COLLECTION
The Mommy & Me collection includes looks for Mom, daughters and sons. The mother's look features a Cherokee Rose print is a nod to Georgia's state flower (in honor of SCAD's location and the newest Draper James store in Atlanta). Both Mom and daughter coordinate in Draper James gingham. The bee on the boy's top reflects SCAD's mascot, "Art the Bee," which is also Georgia's state insect.
"I'm so incredibly honored to receive the SCAD Etoile award [November 2017] and thrilled to be partnering with such a gifted and respected institution," says Draper James Founder and Creative Director Reese Witherspoon. "I founded Draper James in order to showcase the originality and beauty of the South, and I'm thrilled it resonates so well with the emerging talent SCAD is known for around the world," she adds.
Prices for items in the collection range from $28 – $125. Visit the Nashville store at 2608 12th Ave. S. (615-997-3601) or check out the collection online at draperjames.com.
