Ghost Tours at The Hermitage

Embark on a distinctly spooky voyage at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage (4580 Rachel’s Ln., Hermitage). Experience the mansion, grounds and cemetery by lantern light. Along the way, you will hear some of the tragedies and mysteries that befell the Jackson family, unusual experiences of Andrew Jackson and unexplained incidents. Learn more about the infamous Dickinson Duel, White House break-in during Jackson’s presidency, tomb robber and George Healy’s account of Andrew Jackson’s death. They even have accounts of ghost encounters on the site! Beware of eerie encounters, possibly even with President Jackson himself. Tours happen Oct. 2 – 9 at 6:30 p.m.; Oct. 10 – 11 at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m.; and then Oct. 16 – 31 at 6:30 and 8:30 p.m. Recommended for ages 13 and older. Cost is $60.
