Roots & Rhythms Americana Concert Series

The Andrew Jackson Foundation presents the inaugural Roots & Rhythms Americana Concert Series, a three-night outdoor concert series held in June on the historic grounds of The Hermitage (4580 Rachel’s Lane, Hermitage). The series highlights musical traditions shaped by Tennessee through evenings of bluegrass, R&B and gospel and country. Each evening includes a Legacy Award presentation, live performances, and local food and drink in an open-air setting on the back lawn. GA tickets are $20 ($10 for members).

June 12 | Bluegrass Night
Legacy Award Honoree: Ed Snodderly

An evening centered on bluegrass and traditions that continue to shape Tennessee music.
June 19 | R&B and Gospel Night
Legacy Award Honoree: Charles “Wigg” Walker
Performing: The McCrary Sisters, Shantelle & the Juke Joint Band
A night reflecting the influence of R&B, blues, and gospel in Tennessee’s musical history.
June 26 | Country Night
Legacy Award Honoree: Steve Earle (Award will be accepted on behalf of Steve by his sister, Stacey Earle)
Performing: Elizabeth Cook, Tim Easton
A closing night focused on country songwriting and the wider Americana tradition.
