Fall Fun with Murfreesboro Parks & Rec

It's definitely one of our favorite seasons! Murfreesboro families can mark their calendars for these AWESOME fall events.

Attention, Murfreesboro families! Murfreesboro Parks & Rec has so many incredible events coming up this fall and we wanted to give you some dates to help you plan. Mark your calendars and get ready for the fall fun!

Murfreesboro Parks & Rec Fall Events:

 

1-Mile Pumpkin Fun Run, Gateway Island Greenway, Murfreesboro, TN 37129, United States, 11 October 2025 | AllEvents

Pumpkin Fun Run

Saturday, Oct. 11 | 3 p.m.

Participants of all ages will walk or run the 1-mile loop at Gateway Park while carry a Pumpkin. The run starts and ends outside the main plaza at the bridge. Run does not start until 4 pm. Registration begins at 3 pm. Bring 1 or more can goods to donate to Greenhouse ministries. Water, warm cider and a light snack afterwards. Medals to all finishers. Register for door prizes.


Fall Fest and Haunted Hallways at McFadden

McFadden Fall Fest

Tuesday, Oct. 14 | 5 – 7 p.m.

Join at McFadden Community Center for Fall Fest and Haunted Hallways. Everyone is invited for food, fun, fellowship and fright. Some highlights of the night are the games, t-shirt and cake walk. food, and the Haunted Hallways.


WILDERNESS STATION AT BARFIELD CRESCENT PARK - Rutherford County Tennessee

Wild Rumpus at The Wilderness Station

Wednesday, Oct. 15 | 5 – 6:30 p.m.

Calling all Wild Things! Dress up (non-scary costumes please) for a night of frolicking under the open sky! They will have a live animal program, storybook hiking trail, hot drinks, classic fall-themed games, paint-a-pumpkin and more!

Cannonsburgh Village After Dark

Friday, Oct. 17 & Saturday, Oct. 18 | 6 – 9 p.m.

Bring the family out for a chance to explore Cannonsburgh Village and its buildings in the dark. Make sure you bring your flashlight to explore the dark corners of the log cabins while on a flashlight hunt. Enjoy sweet treats and hot drinks, fall crafts and games, music and BINGO. Costumes welcome! Tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased at the gate. Ages 5 & under free.


Barfield Bash

Not-So-Scary Hayride with The Three Little Pigs

Friday, Oct. 24 & Saturday, Oct. 25 | 5 – 7 p.m.

Join the fun at Barfield Crescent Park on a not so scary hayride and enjoy a live action storytelling of The Three Little Pigs with a heartwarming twist. Come and meet other fairytale characters along the way.

Barfield Bash Carnival

Friday, Oct. 24 & Saturday, Oct. 25 | 4 – 8 p.m.

Come out and join at Barfield Crescent Park at the Barfield Bash to play some ghostly games and win some frighteningly fun prizes,and enjoy spooky music!

The scariest hayride into the depths of Barfield Park! Who or what is lurking in the woods? Do you dare find out?


Celebrate Fall at the 49th Annual Harvest Days at Cannonsburgh Village - Rutherford Source

Harvest Days at Cannonsburgh

Saturday, Oct. 25 | 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

It’s time for the 49th Annual Harvest Days at Cannonsburgh Village! Join for hands-on demonstrations, food trucks and handmade crafts. Enjoy live music and clogging at the gazebo. The Murfreesboro Art League will have art on display and for sale. Don’t miss blacksmithing demonstrations with the Rutherford County Blacksmith Association and a Car Show by the Stones River Car Club.


Toddler Spooktacular at Patterson Park

Friday, Oct. 31 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Bring your toddler(s) (2-5 years old) and join us for a spooktacular time. There will be a parade, spooky pokey dance, candy, carnival style games and prize drawings.


PPCC Community Fall Festival

Friday, Oct. 31 | 5 – 8 p.m.

What are you doing for Halloween? Join at Patterson Park for free games, food, prizes and crafts for the whole family. For all ages.
