Folk ‘n Bluegrass Fest at Rock Castle is Sept. 10

Living history presenters, folk and bluegrass performances, bounce houses, corn hole, sack races, (inflatable) ax-throwing tournaments and more!

Need some more live music and family fun this fall? The Historic Rock Castle in Hendersonville has you covered with a full day of exciting band performances at its Folk ‘n Bluegrass Fest coming up on Saturday, Sept. 10.

The Folk ‘n Bluegrass Fest technically begins at 3 p.m., but come early and explore the living history encampment that will be set-up around Historic Rock Castle. Food trucks will be on hand beginning at noon, so come picnic on the grounds and secure your spot for a night of bluegrass jams with your family and friends!

EVENT SCHEDULE:

  • 10 am – 3 pm: Living History Encampment & Presentations (a.k.a. Daniel Smith Days)
  • 3 pm – 8 pm: Folk ‘n Bluegrass Fest, featuring main-stage performances by Nick Chandler and Delivered, the Cordovas, The Tennessee Bluegrass Band, the Larry Stephenson Band, and more to be announced soon.
  • 8 pm – 10 pm: The Half Batch Brewing “Halfter Party” featuring private performances by Cordovas and Theo & Brenna Band).

General Admission is $10/person at the gate and includes access to living history presenters, historic encampment, main-stage folk and bluegrass performances, bounce houses, organized games for kids, and a series of corn hole, sack race and (inflatable) ax-throwing tournaments.

Halfter Party Tickets provide guests full general admission access as well as access to the whimsical woodland stage performances of both Cordovas and Theo & Brenna Band. Heavy hors d’oeuvres and two Half Batch brews are also included in the $60 ticket price.
