The community is invited to attend the Franklin Fire Department’s Open House on Saturday, September 6, from 10 a.m. to noon at Franklin Fire Station 6 (located at 1061 Cool Springs Blvd., Franklin).
This free, family-friendly event will open with a brief 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony and include exciting demonstrations and activities, including a new fire truck Wetdown Ceremony!
Franklin Fire Department Open House Highlights
- 10 a.m. – Join for a 9/11 remembrance honoring the 24th anniversary with a multi-agency Honor Guard, bagpipes and a performance by the Legacy Middle School Band.
- 10:30 a.m. – Watch a live fire demonstration by the National Fire Sprinkler Association and see firsthand how fire sprinklers can make a lifesaving difference
- 11 a.m. – Celebrate the arrival of new Tower 6 with a traditional Wetdown Ceremony. Kids of all ages are welcome to help wash the truck and join the fun!

- Sweet treats from the Retro Sno shaved ice truck
