It’s not a giant theater, but it’s outside and in the oh-so-trendy Gulch. They’re showing “Hocus Pocus” there for free on Thursday night, Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m. It’s a great time to get in on the action because Noble Park (333 11th Ave. S, Nashville) is catching on with folks but freebies are still all around. Bring your blankets and chairs and enjoy free pizza and soft drinks from St. Vito Focacceria. Bring your own popcorn.
Of course, “Hocus Pocus” is a Halloween favorite. It tells the story of 300-year-old witch sisters who are accidentally brought back to life on Halloween night to undo an old spell. Starring Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker as the Sanderson sisters, the 1993 movie is a fantasy comedy rated PG although Common Sense Media recommends it for ages 10 and older.
