Free music lessons? Yes, please. Keep Music Alive, the national arts non-profit that helps kids benefit from music, holds the 10th Annual “Teach Music Week” Monday, March 18 to Sunday, March 24. For the week-long event, local music schools give kids one, free 30-minute lesson to help them start up with music. Further, 1,200 locations in 16 countries are participating. The truth is, sometimes a kid just need a little push to get started.
“We all know that the biggest hurdle to doing something is often getting started,” says Vincent James, co-founder of Keep Music Alive. “With Teach Music Week, we hope to inspire a new generation of musicians,” he adds.
