Free science in the summer education that’s FUN? Yep! Adventure Science Center aims to help keep young minds sharp this month through its participation in the GSK Science in the Summer Program. Certified teachers lead the free program that engages students with the science of space through two-day sessions featuring hands-on activities with lessons about Earth’s moon, the sun, stars, space travel and more. Level 1 classes are for students entering second and third grade. Level 2 classes are for students entering grades 4 – 6. Sessions take place from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 – 3 p.m. Programs take place at the following Nashville schools: Rose Park Middle School, 1025 Ninth Ave. S. (July 10 – 11 & 17 – 18) and Stratford STEM Magnet School, 1800 Stratford Ave. (July 24 – 25 & Aug. 1 – 2). While admission is free, you must register your child in advance. It’s easy to sign up at adventuresci.org/scienceinthesummer.   Find more Things To Do in Middle Tennessee.
