Hendersonville Tree Lighting and Parade Set for Dec. 5

Bring your chairs and hot cocoa, Hendersonville!

Hendersonville will have two festive events for the price of one this year as both the city’s annual Christmas parade and tree lighting ceremony will be held this Sunday, Dec. 5, courtesy of The Hendersonville Parks Department and HolidayFest.

“Little Miss Dynamite,” Brenda Lee, will serve as the Grand Marshall for the 52nd annual event and is the Honorary Chair of HolidayFest this year.

The tree lighting festivities will kick off at 3:30 p.m. in Memorial Park with singer-songwriter Donna Frost.

Back for the second year to headline this year’s Christmas version of the Hendersonville Hometown Jam is Craig Campbell, who will perform a mix of his hits with Christmas favorites. Joining Campbell this year will be singer/songwriter Hannah Dasher who recently released her own version of “Rocking Around the Christmas Tree.”

Attendees can also expect performances from local favorite Jason Eskridge, Cross Atlantic, the Hendersonville High School Select Chorus and Smartt Steps Dance Academy.

The event will also feature Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus, a Letter to Santa writing station, carriage rides and food vendors. Also in attendance will be everyone’s favorite raccoon T-Rac from the Titans.

The day’s events will culminate with the tree lighting at around 6 p.m. and a fireworks display after that.
