Let out all of your frustration and … heave an axe at your target. That's what it's all about at the new JackSplit Axe Throwing. It's set to open soon, too! It’s next door to Owner Michael Dixon’s first establishment, 60 Minute Escape.
There are four throwing stations with total of eight target lanes. Family and friends can watch your strength and agility in throwing axes in the sitting viewing lounge area, too. Before you even throw an axe, there’s an Axe coach for each booking who gives instruction on how to safely handle and throw an axe as well as the different games you can play. All axes are provided to you. Just arrive ready to have fun and throw, but remember to wear closed-toe shoes.
Axe throwing is for just about anyone, but no one younger than 18 is allowed without an adult. You can also bring your own drinks, soft drinks, wine or beer with you to your allotted time. Prices start at $22.78 per person. JackSplit is a lodge setting that accepts walk-in’s and online bookings as well as private parties.
“We will also have ongoing leagues for those wanting to step up their skills or just hang and have fun with friends,” says Dixon. “We invite everyone to come out and find your inner Lumberjack or Viking Warrior with friends and family or coworkers.”
