Barnes & Noble hosts its second Kids’ Book Hangout, an afternoon of reading, play and book-related giveaways (while supplies last). The Fall Kids' Book Hangout takes place Saturday, Oct. 20 beginning at 2 p.m. Kids in grades 1 – 6 celebrate imagination with a day of guided activities. Engage in social and word play with group mad libs; ice-breaker charades; drawing exercises, and cardboard-mask creation inspired by the book Cardboard Kingdom. But, you should go ahead and sign up online!
“Our first Barnes & Noble Kids’ Book Hangout was a great success, and we can’t wait to bring young readers back to our stores around the country to explore more stories, genres, and characters,” said Stephanie Fryling, Vice President of Merchandising, Children’s Books. “This Hangout has something for kids of all interests, with graphic novels and books about friendship, adventure, and mystery.”

- 5 Worlds: The Sand Warrior, by Mark Siegel and Alexis Siegel
