Let’s Play Music in Murfreesboro

Registration is open now for a new music class — Let's Play Music — for youngsters that begins this fall!

From a small, private voice studio, Owner Rachel Perkins expands music lessons with the addition of Let’s Play Music. While it’s set to begin in August, registration is open now through Monday, July 15.

Let’s Play Music is a small group piano/music class for ages 4 – 6. Lessons focus on creating a complete musician and do so through a play-based experience. Parents attend the first year with their child twice monthly, though students attend weekly. The entire course is a three-year curriculum.

“Let’s Play Music is fun for both the teacher and the students,” says Perkins. “It combines proven teaching methods of music and pairs them with engaging activities for children of this age group. Activities are kept concise to keep children’s attention, transitioning every two to five minutes. I believe in the program so much that my own daughter will start with my first group in August.”

Perkins, who’s a licensed K – 12 music education teacher, also offers 30-minute, weekly private voice lessons for ages 13 – 18.

When lessons begin in the fall, eight half-hour time slots will be available for private voice lessons in the evening, and Let’s Play Music will take place Tuesdays at 10 a.m. All classes are held at Perkins’ home in Murfreesboro.
