Kids love outings to local farms to enjoy the fun of berry picking, and Middle Tennessee boasts many locations where your family can enjoy spring and summer harvesting.
According to the Tennessee Harvest Calendar, the typical crop availability for strawberries is the beginning of May through mid-June. Blackberries, blueberries and raspberries are ripe for the picking mid-July through the end of August. Find a farm below in your area, and always call ahead to confirm availability due to weather.
And don't forget the sunscreen before you head out to pick!

Pick your own strawberries every Saturday in May from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. The $10 admission includes one quart of strawberries; additional quarts and buckets available for purchase. Stawberry Pickin' Parties take place every Wednesday in May from 5 – 9 p.m. They are also $10 and include one quart of strawberries. In addition to berry picking, the Wednesday night parties also include live music on select nights, barn bingo, food trucks, local vendors and a cash bar.
