Do you have a group looking for something new and different to do? Head to Morning Glory Orchards in Nolensville for a Saturday "Taste and Tour" event. Good, old-fashioned orchard tours are available at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Visitors on the tour get to walk the orchard with one of the Wideman ladies (the farm is owned by Christina Wideman and husband Curt; daughters Alyson and Andrea work at the farm, too). During your tour, you'll also learn the story of the orchard and hear how the peach and apple trees are maintained and protected. Then it's onto the tastings! Sample the ciders, honey, molasses, apple butter and possibly a surprise from the orchard.
Throughout the school year Morning Glory offers farm tours to school groups; this is the first time the farm has opened for Saturday tours.

Morning Glory Orchard sells a wide variety of farm-grown preserves each year including jams, jellies, butters, honey-mustard sauce, ciders, molasses, honey and chow-chow. The farm grows peaches (available in June) and a wide variety of summer produce. Come fall, the farm has 12 variety of apples including Red and Gold Delicious, Arkansas Black, Gala and others.
