Where Every Family Matters

Music City Kids Club Now Open

Sumner County's first drop-in child care center is now open in Hendersonville.

Need child care at the drop of a hat? No problem. Music City Kids Club has you covered seven days a week. It's Sumner County's first drop-in child-care facility, offering a convenient solution to your child-care needs when you don't have a babysitter at the ready or something suddenly comes up.

Music City Kids Club is the brainchild of Middle Tennessee husband-and-wife team Allison Lanquist and Trey Hannah. It came about when they dealt with an unfortunate situation.

"Trey and I were driving to other parts of Middle Tennessee to utilize drop-in child care for our son and recognized this was a service that parents need," says Lanquist. "Reliable and trustworthy child care is hard to come by, and after we had to give away $300 worth of concert tickets when a babysitter canceled last minute, I knew there had to be a better way," she adds.

Music City Kids Club accepts children ages 13 months – 12 years. Center hours are Mon – Thu 8 a.m. – 9 p.m., Fri – Sat 8 a.m. – midnight, Sun 12 – 9 p.m.

There is a $15 one-time registration fee. Rates are $10 per hour for one child, $3 for each additional child. Rate for kids younger than 2 years is $11 per hour, and 24-hour advance registration is necessary for kids younger than 2.

The center features a climb-on play structure for preschoolers, and a variety of toys and games is available, including arts and crafts supplies.

All staff members are certified in CPR and first aid along with going through background checks to obtain certification through the Tennessee Department of Human Services.

Music City Kids Club is located at 261 Indian Lake Blvd., Ste. 320, Hendersonville. Call 615-757-3536 or visit
