At the 2025 Parenting Media Association annual conference held on Friday, Nov. 7 in Chicago, Nashville Parent took home the Gold for best Calendar of Events in the nation for the third straight year in a row.
Nashville’s “Things to Do” family calendar, curated and designed by Nashville Parent Managing Editor Michael Aldrich each month, continues its award-winning legacy that began many years ago. Additionally, Aldrich’s bimonthly column, “DAD BEAT,” took home the Gold for best Editor’s Note in the nation for the second year in a row.
Nashville Parent’s “Things to Do” Wins the GOLD Award — Again!
Nashville Parent is no stranger to awards. The publication, which began in 1993, has won awards from the country’s top trade organization since its inception. Led by longtime Editor-in-Chief Susan Day, the magazines continue to win awards for excellence in editorial and design.
“We are steeped in the Nashville goings on, and we’ve been here through the amazing transformation from small town to ‘IT’ town,” Day says. “We are thrilled to deliver the highest quality content possible in the calendar of events category. There’s so much going on in this town, we really work hard to keep up! Many try to compete, but we keep our nose to the grind stone. And, as parents ourselves, we recognize the unique needs of parents and kids. It’s a niche we understand and love,” adds Day.
