The Nashville Symphony offers several educational opportunities for local kids throughout the year. Specific to school kids in grades K – 12 are the Young People’s Concerts.
Each installment is free for public, private and homeschool students. Tickets are $10 for chaperones and teachers. The 2017-2018 Young People’s Concert schedule is as follows:

Sergei Prokofiev’s classic comes to life with the Nashville Symphony and live narration.
THE BRASS FAMILY

Nashville Symphony introduces kids to the brass family of instruments by performing pieces from Gershwin’s “Cuban Overture,” Coplands “Fanfare for the Common Man,” Handy’s “St. Louis Blues” and more.

The Nashville Symphony performs music by composers who overcame great obstacles to create the timeless music they gave to the world.
In addition to the free concerts for concerts, Nashville Symphony provides a downloadable curriculum that teachers and homeschool parents can access. The curriculum includes lesson plans, music selections and the “Let’s Go to the Symphony” video. The educational content meets all state and local academic standards.
