Executive Artistic Director Ernie Nolan is getting ready for his second season at Nashville Children’s Theatre (NCT). Dubbed “A Season of Discovery,” Nolan’s also launching “The Snuggery” for little ones. It’s kicking off the 2018 – 19 season on Saturday, Aug. 11. The Snuggery presents NCT’s new professional performances for children ages birth to 5 years and their parents or caregivers.
ABOUT THE SNUGGERY
Performances feature smaller audience sizes (100 limit); an immersive, interactive environment; pre- and post-performance experiences; and music, sound and movement. Aside from entertaining youngsters while introducing them to the magic of theater, The Snuggery provides a safe environment for kindling focus and creative thinking. Taking place at NCT’s Copeland Studio, The Snuggery’s first production is Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, running Aug. 11 – Sept. 9. Created by Nolan, “Little Star” isn’t in the nighttime sky, therefore a search through the galaxy is in order to solve the cosmic cliffhanger. Kids in the audience will help! The show takes place Tue – Fri at 10 a.m. for schools, preschools and homeschool field trips. Weekends are open to the public. Showtimes are Saturday at 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; Sunday 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person. NCT is located at 25 Middleton St., Nashville. Get tickets at 615-252-4675 or nashvillect.org.
