Adventure Science Center (ASC) is adding a lot more family fun to its offerings. From new programs and member perks to extended hours and admission deals, here's all the extra your family can enjoy:
NEW MONTHLY SCIENCE THEMES
Every month, you and your kids can explore a different STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, mathematics)-related topic with live science demonstrations and hands-on activities every day. The year's worth of topics are: • July: Dive In (marine biology) • August: Blast Off (space exploration) • September: Make It (maker movement) • October: Get Spooky (Halloween science) • November: Chow Down (food science) • December: Winter Wonders (seasonal science) • January: Discoveries Today (science innovations) • February: Build It (engineering) • March: Matter Madness (matter & chemistry) • April: Go Green (Earth science & sustainability) • May: Get Moving (sports & dance) • June: Make Music (music & sound)
SUPER SCIENCE SATURDAYS
On the first Saturday of each month, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., ASC launches the new STEAM theme of the month with special hands-on activities, Science Live! demonstrations, games and other activities.
NEW EXTENDED HOURS
ASC stays open until 10 p.m. on the second Saturday of each month. In addition to the regular exhibits, you can also enjoy special programming in Sudekum Planetarium like laser shows and full-dome documentary-style features. Planetarium shows are an extra $5 each.
FAMILY FUN LABS
On the last Saturday of each month, you can participate in casual, hands-on science labs featuring a variety of activities included with regular admission.
SUMMER LASER SHOWS
Taking place every afternoon through Sept. 3, enjoy special laser shows and programs with special themes. Experience "Laser America" on Wednesday, July 4. Laser shows require additional tickets: $9 adults, $8 ages 2 – 12 (member prices are $4.50 adults, $4 youth).
TWILIGHT SPECIAL
Here's an awesome new deal at ASC! If you purchase general admission or combo tickets on site two hours prior to the ASC's closing time, you'll receive free admission on the following day. To redeem this offer, simply show your admission receipt from the prior day. The Twilight Special begins at 3 p.m., except on the second Saturday of the month when it begins at 8 p.m. Free admission is valid only for the day after the date the ticket is purchased.
MEMBER MORNINGS
On the last Saturday of each month, ASC members can enjoy the museum prior to it opening to the public. It takes place from 8:30 – 10 a.m.

Adventure Science Center is located at 800 Fort Negley Blvd., Nashville. Hours are daily 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., with the exception of the second Saturday when ASC stays open until 10 p.m. Admission is $15.95 adults, $11.95 ages 2 – 12. Find membership information here.
