Specially designed climbing walls are just one aspect of the new Climb Murfreesboro that’s under construction — it’s set to open late summer (August or September). This 30,500-square-foot facility will feature 45-foot climbing walls; bouldering areas with 15-foot walls where athletes can free-climb without ropes; workout and cardio equipment; yoga; and a retail shop with healthy treats and drinks as well as climbing gear. There will also be several climbing walls for kids in a variety of themes and difficulty along with a party room.

“It’s a full-service, family-friendly gym,” says Lance Brock, co-owner of Climb Murfreesboro and Climb Nashville (the Music City location has been open since 2003). “We’ll have stuff for kids to do. You can run on the treadmill and the kids can climb. There are things multiple generations can do. We’ll also have yoga classes, fitness classes and full climbing instruction,” he adds. Climb Murfreesboro will have much of the same programs as the Nashville location, including the youth team program. The youth team is a climbing development program for children ages 7 – 19. The staff provides fun, challenging instruction that develops the child’s fitness, climbing ability and character. Climb Murfreesboro is located at 1660 Memorial Blvd. There will be a grand opening event, and potentially a soft opening for members to come check out the space ahead of the public.
