New Music Lessons for Kids

Special moments are made when a child learns to play an instrument for the first time. Here's a new place that offers music lessons for kids!

With a booming music industry so close, it’s easy to see why there’s a new place to create music in Murfreesboro — Ridenour Rehearsal Studios. In addition to providing a rehearsal space, Ridenour offers music lessons to children. Ages 5 – 17 get one-on-one private music instruction with professional teachers in guitar, piano, bass, voice, drums and songwriting — there are plans to add banjo, fiddle and mandolin in the future.

The staff works with your schedule when planning for lessons. With several instructors on hand, lessons are available every day of the week. Lessons start at $55 per hour.

Owner Keith Ridenour has been teaching music lessons since 2000 and is excited to provide this new space to the community. “There’s no better feeling than watching children pick up an instrument for the first time and to see the smile on their face when they strum their first chord or play their first song,” says Ridenour. “By the time they do their first recital, and their parents are watching them perform, it’s amazing to experience — a very emotional moment.”

The studio features five fully soundproof rooms, one large live stage room and private lesson rooms. In addition, local bands can rehearse in the studios for a minimal fee.

Ridenour Rehearsal Studios is located at 1203 Park Ave., Murfreesboro. Hours are 12 – 10 p.m. daily. Call 615-956-7413 or visit ridenourmusic.com.
