You can enhance your homeschooler's education this fall by expanding his mind into the world of visual art. The Monthaven Arts & Cultural Center offers a Homeschool Art Class this autumn.
FALL HOMESCHOOL ART CLASS DETAILS
Monthaven's Homeschool Art class is open to students ages 6 – 16. It takes place Fridays, Aug. 23 – Dec. 20 from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. During the semester, students will explore various art mediums while learning art history, styles and movements. In addition, kids will learn about the influential artists from different periods.
Furthermore, students will get to work like the masters while gaining a wider understanding and appreciation of art's role throughout history and across cultures.
The class costs $630 for the semester, and there is a one-time non-refundable supply fee of $50 due at the first class meeting.
At the end of the semester, students will receive a certificate of completion. There will also be a reception where the students will showcase their handiwork for friends and family.
