You say to-MAY-to, I say to-MAH-to, but who cares? East Nashville is wild about tomatos! And August 10 brings the 2024 East Nashville Tomato 5K for all ages and abilities, where every finisher will receive a medal. The morning event kicks off the day’s festivities that includes the Tomato Art Fest.
East Nashville Tomato 5k
The 5K is a family friendly event, encouraging participants to dress in tomato outfits to bring local flavor. In addition to the 5K, there’s a Kids Fun Run for children ages 12 and younger immediately before the race. Here’s the itinerary:
Itinerary
- Pre-Packet Pickup: Friday, Aug. 9 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Margaret Maddox Y, located at 2464 Gallatin Pike, Nashville.
- Race Day Packet Pick-up/Walk-up Registration: 6 – 7 a.m. at East Park at 700 Woodland Street.
- Kids Fun Run Starts: 7 a.m.
- 5K Starts: 7:30 a.m.
