The Children’s Playroom, a locally owned childcare center that provides flexible drop-in care, is expanding its offerings with the launch of a new Parent’s Day Out program at its Brentwood location.
Beginning in August 2026, the program is designed for children ages 6 months through 5 years, offering families a consistent, part-time schedule in a warm, play-based environment.
Parents may choose either a Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday schedule, with care available from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The program follows the Williamson County Schools calendar, making it an ideal option for families seeking a reliable routine without committing to full-time preschool.
“We know today’s families need more flexible childcare options,” said the director of The Children’s Playroom. “Whether a parent works part-time, runs a small business, has a new baby at home, or simply values a few uninterrupted hours each week, our Parent’s Day Out program provides a safe, nurturing place where children can play, learn, and build friendships.”
Unlike traditional academic preschool programs, The Children’s Playroom emphasizes learning through play. Children enjoy age-appropriate activities, imaginative play, music, movement, crafts and opportunities to develop social skills in a caring, engaging environment.
Families enrolled in the Parent’s Day Out program will also receive an exclusive 10% discount on hourly drop-in childcare, making it even easier to access evening, weekend, or additional childcare whenever needed.
