The weather is fantastic and kids are outside. And, with the sports season in full swing, parents need to know where they can take their child in the event of an injury. That's any injury from say a sports game or from playing outside. Every 25 seconds, or 1.35 million times a year, a young athlete suffers a sports injury severe enough to go to the emergency room, according to a research report by Safe Kids Worldwide.
Tennessee Orthopedic Alliance (TOA) opened two new Urgent Care locations on Monday, April 1 — Clarksville and Murfreesboro — to better serve families in need of care. Extended clinic hours, same-day and walk-in appointments are available for any non-emergent injuries.
Services include sports injuries, strains and sprains, dislocations, broken bones and fractures, accidental falls, torn ligaments or tendons, acute joint injuries, acute neck and back injuries, stitches, and more.
TOA offers many services to parents at all their regular offices all over Middle Tennessee. These include pediatric orthopedics, trauma, physical therapy, MRI and CT scans, and more.
TOA Orthopedic Urgent Care is located at 1800 Medical Center Pkwy., Ste. 200, Murfreesboro. Hours are Mon – Sat 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., Sun 12 – 5 p.m. Call 615-896-6800 or visit toa.com to learn more.
