Looking for a fun, flexible outing the whole family can enjoy? On Friday, June 27, take the kids to Hatcher Family Dairy in College Grove from 10:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. for a self-guided farm adventure with a special “Touch-a-Tractor” twist — perfect for curious kids and parents alike. You’ll need tickets ($16.46) — and they must be purchased online (see link below).
This engaging tour includes all the classic stops of the dairy’s farm experience, plus some hands-on extras just for kids. They can climb aboard a real farm tractor for a close-up look and photo op — imagine life behind the wheel! They’ll also get to take home tractor-and-dairy-themed coloring sheets as a creative keepsake from the day.
As you explore the farm at your own pace, you’ll visit Abe Hatcher Creamery to see where the dairy bottles and processes milk. Next, you’ll take a step back in time at the Milk Barn Museum, and get an up-close view of cows being milked by robotic milkers. And don’t miss The Loft — a kid-friendly play space with pretend milking stations, a mini farmers market, and a bird’s-eye view of the loafing barn below.
