TPAC Casting Two Local Little Girls for “Waitress”

The national tour of the hit Broadway musical comes to Nashville in June. Two local girls will be cast to perform the role of โ€œLulu!โ€

A sweet-as-pie opportunity awaits little girls who love the limelight: The national touring production of Waitress comes to TPAC this summer (June 5 – 10), and the producers of the show are looking for two local little girls to share the role of โ€œLuluโ€ during the Nashville run. Each child will perform in four shows!

The character of โ€œLuluโ€ is a sweet, carefree 4- to 5-year-old who appears in the productionโ€™s final scene.

TPAC hosts auditions with the Waitress producer on Saturday, March 10 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 – 3 p.m.

Auditioning girls must be shorter than 4โ€™2โ€ and no older than 5 years and 3 months. Individual applicants are welcome as well as sets of twins or siblings. Space is limited to the first 50 applicants who sign up at TPACโ€™s website.

Auditioners will read two lines from the show. If available, bring your childโ€™s current headshot and acting resumรฉ. Headshots, resumรฉs and acting experience are not requirements for this opportunity, however.

Based on Adrienne Shelleyโ€™s 2007 film of the same name, Waitress tells the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker. She dreams of a way out of her small town and loveless marriage. A baking contest in a nearby county โ€” and the townโ€™s new doctor โ€” may offer her the shot at a new start.

The Tony-nominated musical features original music and lyrics by six-time Grammy Award nominee Sara Bareilles.
