Nashville Shores is making waves as it kicks off its 27th season. The local waterpark opened on May 10, 2025, offering weekend fun, with daily operations beginning May 22. You can enjoy more than one million gallons of aquatic excitement, including a lazy river, wave pool, 10 slides and various lake activities. Nashville Shores offers special events, too, like adult pool parties, Dive-In Movies on select Fridays come July and lots more. Check out all of the possibilities here. Admission can be purchased daily or through season passes.

SoundWaves at Gaylord Opryland Resort is making a splash this summer with the opening of its outdoor attractions on May 22, 2025. The upscale indoor-outdoor water experience offers four acres of aquatic fun, including a giant wave pool, slides, and Nashville’s only double FlowRider. The indoor section is open year-round, ensuring fun regardless of the weather. *The only way to guarantee access is to book the SoundWaves Experience Package or reserve a private party room, as day passes are not available

Wave Country opens for the 2025 season on Saturday, May 24. This longstanding Nashville waterpark offers a giant wave pool, flume and speed slides, and a kiddie pool with water features. Open Tuesday through Sunday until August 1, then weekends only through August 31, with a final hurrah on Labor Day, September 1.

Get ready for a season of thrills and splashes — Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country are officially open for 2025. The theme park kicked off its 40th anniversary season on March 15, and Splash Country opened its gates on May 10. Splash Country includes 40 water attractions nestled in the scenic Smoky Mountains. From racing down the TailSpin Racer to floating along the lazy river, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Holiday World is officially open for the 2025 season, and it’s shaping up with excitement. Splashin’ Safari is set to make a splashy debut on May 17. This year marks a record-breaking 132 operating days, the longest season in the park’s history. Thrill-seekers can dive into the world’s longest water coasters, Mammoth and Wildebeest, or soar on the Thunderbird wing coaster. Don’t miss the new family coaster, Good Gravy!, already a fan favorite . Plus, enjoy free soft drinks, sunscreen, parking, and Wi-Fi all season long. With extended hours, special events like Friday Night Live!, and the return of Holidays in the Sky, there’s more time than ever to let your adventure begin.

SOAKY MOUNTAIN WATER PARK

Soaky Mountain Waterpark in Sevierville, Tennessee, is now open for the 2025 season. The park kicked off summer on May 10 and 11, with daily operations starting May 17 through Labor Day, and weekends in September, weather permitting. This year’s highlight is the debut of Rafter’s Rage, a six-person raft ride that begins eight stories high and spans 825 feet, reaching speeds up to 19 mph. This world-first attraction features four uniquely designed arcs that cause rafts to accelerate sideways, extending the zero-G sensation for riders.
