Where Every Family Matters

What to Know About Nashville’s BOO at the Zoo

New this year, kids can enjoy a special appearance from "Ernie the Elf" as part of a collaboration with Keebler cookies.

BOO! Nashville Zoo is back with its annual fall event Boo at the Zoo, running nightly from October 17 through November 1 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Guests can expect fall-themed scenes, trick-or-treating, special animal shows, a pumpkin patch, a dedicated Day of the Dead event on the final night and more.

Meet Ernie the Elf!

The family fall event kicks off with a special guest appearance from Keebler. Ernie the Elf will be at the Zoo for one night only to hand out treats and celebrate the launch of Keebler Spookie Fudge Stripes cookies.

This meet and greet is part of an ongoing partnership where guests have been able to participate in a scavenger hunt to locate striped animals and collect fun facts about their unique patterns for a chance to win a grand prize. Guests will be able to meet Ernie on Saturday, October 18 from 5 to 9 p.m.

Plus, a Día de los Muertos event!

Additionally, Boo at the Zoo will feature a Día de los Muertos event on Saturday, November 1. Visitors are invited to join the Zoo for a special night, as we team up with Conexión Américas to honor Día de los Muertos with themed entertainment, cultural activities, and opportunities to reflect on and celebrate loved ones who have passed. This one-night-only experience will feature vibrant additions to our regular Boo festivities, created in collaboration with community partners.
