The 2022 Wilson County Fair – Tennessee State Fair has announced oldies, Country and gospel band Highway 96 as this year’s headlining concert. They will perform on the Entertainment Stage on Sunday, August 21 at 7 p.m. and Monday, August 22 at 6:30 p.m., with the Cedar Creek Boys opening.
10 stages of entertainment
With ten stages of entertainment during the 10 days of the Fair, every night will be packed with so much to see.
For example, Young Country Night with The Voice Alumni, Kenzie Rose and Ethan Lively will be at the Opry Stage on Saturday, August 20. Grammy winner Charlie McCoy will be preforming Thursday, August 25. Be sure to stop and listen to the jazz, Bluegrass, and country music on various stages.
Watch the clogging and square-dancing competitions, and pageants from the Doll Parade to Ms. Senior, along with our Fairest of the Fair. In addition, hypnotists, ventriloquist, Doodles the Clown, and Torres Circus shows are always crowd favorites. To see all the performers on each stage, click here.
New additions
We are thrilled for you to see the new additions to our fairgrounds this year! New buildings include the State Exhibits building, 4-H and FFA building and the Event Pavilion.
The State Exhibits building for perishable entries located inside the green gate in Fiddlers Grove, will showcase flowers, plants, fruits and vegetables, hay and field crops, and wool fleece. Competitions for all Tennesseans. The 4-H and FFA building beside the Ag Venture Barn will showcase 4-H and FFA exhibits from across the state. The new Event Pavilion between the green and blue gates will be used for events like the Senior Citizen event and company picnics. The Made In Tennessee building is still under construction and expected to be open for the 2023 Fair.
The Wilson County Fair – Tennessee State Fair presented by your Mid-South Ford dealers runs Thursday, August 18 through Saturday, August 27, 2022.
