4 Fab Fam Events for Labor Day Weekend

Spend the night at the zoo; do an international food crawl; head to Live on the Green or run in the mud!

Sure, Labor Day weekend marks the start of SEC football, but not EVERYBODY in the world has to watch football! Music City is filled with fun events on the Saturday before Labor Day, so take note! Here are four fab events to plan on NOW. Plus, check out the info on the Hot Air Balloon Festival coming to Nissan Stadium Sept. 16. Tickets are on sale now!

4th ANNUAL KIDS FEST AT LIVE ON THE GREEN
SAT., SEPT. 2; 1 p.m. at  Public Square Park, 1 Public Square, Nashville
Hosted and “curated” by Mr. Steve, The Music Man (host of Lightning 100’s kids  radio show, The Early Birds with Mr. Steve, this free event kicks off the Labor Day Weekend Live on the Green lineup. The Kids Fest wraps at 2, so if you’re there, you’ll already have your spot for the music that goes all the way to 11 p.m.

5th ANNUAL INTERNATIONAL FOOD CRAWL
SAT. SEPT. 2; 12 – 4 p.m. at Plaza Mariachi
Try delicious food from around the world at Plaza Mariachi, located at 3955 Nolensville Road in Nashville. Tickets are $65 for Curated Food Tour tickets (includes a tour guide, drinks, charter bus transportation to exclusive stops). $20 General Admission provides a wristband allowing you to get samples from restaurants and markets at the Food Crawl Hub or throughout the surrounding neighborhood. There is no discount for children.

NASHVILLE MUD RUN / KIDS MUD RUN
SAT., SEPT. 2, 2017; 9 a.m.

Get down and dirty with a muddy obstacle course at Tap Root Farm, 4049 Clovercroft Road in Franklin. Two courses (one 3.1 miles with 18 obstacles and one 6.2 miles with more than 30 obstacles) provide the action. ONLINE REGISTRATION HAPPENING NOW. Adults: $50 – $80; Kids Fun Run: $20 – $40; First Kids Muddy: $20.

ZZZOOFARI SLUMBER
SAT., SEPT. 2 at 4 p.m. – SUN., SEPT. 3 at 9 a.m.
The wildly popular camping experience at the Nashville Zoo is recommended for kids ages 4 – 12 with a parent. Activities include hayrides, carousel and zipline rides plus lots more and includes dinner and breakfast. Cost is Members age 4 and older $38; Non-Members age 4 and older $55; Toddlers age 2 – 4 $15; Groups of 8 are $30 each. You must be registered for this event!

MUSIC CITY BALLOON FESTIVAL
SAT., SEPT. 16; 4 – 6 p.m. at Nissan Stadium
Live music, a kids’ zone, VIP tent, beer tent, food trucks, craft vendors and a hot air balloon glow at dust with the Nashville skyline in the background! Tickets are $12 for general admission (includes Kid Zone). $50 for VIP includes Kid Zone, exclusive seats, covered seating, prime viewing, 2 beer tickets.
