Where Every Family Matters

70th Annual Franklin Rodeo

Children can get in on the fun with special competitions just for them at Williamson County’s Ag Expo Park.

One of Williamson County’s most treasured, action-packed events celebrates 70 years! The Franklin Rodeo serves up three nights of excitement and competitions May 16 – 18 at the Ag Expo Park in Franklin (4215 Long Lane). The rodeo takes place at 7 p.m. each night (doors open at 5:30 p.m.).

Aside from the main events, kids ages 6 – 12 can have fun participating in the calf scramble. Youngsters less than 50 pounds can put their names in a drawing to try their skills during the mutton bustin’ competition (10 names are drawn each night).

The Franklin Rodeo parade kicks off the festivities on Saturday, May 11 at 12 p.m. in downtown Franklin. Plus, the free Franklin Rodeo Experience takes place Wednesday, May 15 from 6 – 9 p.m. Your family can enjoy a behind-the-scenes chutes tour, take line-dancing lessons and participate in children’s activities.

New this year is the Franklin Rodeo Fan Club. For $25, you’ll get premium seating; a special entrance with no lines; behind-the-scenes tours prior to the rodeo; a goodie bag; an invitation for your family to ride on one of the floats during the parade; and more.

Rodeo admission is $15 – $22 adults, $5 – $10 ages 12 & younger. Call 615-763-3611 or visit franklinrodeo.com.
