Top songwriters of Bluebird Café fame play and tell the stories behind their hits as guests picnic and enjoy the stellar hilltop at the Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory (1000 Oman Drive, Brentwood). After the performance, when the stars begin to shine, the telescope is opened for visitors to cap their night with views of celestial wonders. On Oct. 4, listen to tunes from Kelly Archer, J.T. Harding and Ryan Larkins. On Oct. 18, listen to tunes from Johnny Clawson and Others TBA. Tickets are $247.
