The Star Bright Players (ages 13-18) present the Disney film turned Tony-winning Broadway hit inside the Williamson County Performing Arts Center (112 Everbright Ave, Franklin). Set in turn-of-the century New York City and inspired by a true story, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a band of teenaged “newsies.” Performances are Thursday, April 30 at 7 p.m.; Friday, May 1 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 3 at 2 & 7 p.m. Tickets are $18.
