The epic saga that follows the rise of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton returns inside TPAC’s Jackson Hall (505 Deaderick St., Nashville) on Tuesdays through Sundays, June 17 – 28. Based on Ron Chernow’s acclaimed biography and set to a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B, and Broadway, the show has had a profound impact on culture, politics and education. In addition to its 11 Tony Awards, it has won Grammy, Olivier Awards, the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and a special citation from the Kennedy Center Honors.

Take dad to Nashville’s Lane Motor Museum this Father’s Day for vault tours, rides in select museum vehicles and in-museum vehicle demonstrations.

Dads are admitted FREE all day long at the Lane Motor Museum (702 Murfreesboro Pike, Nashville) during this special event day, which includes vault tours, rides in select museum vehicles and in-museum vehicle demonstrations. The rides and vault tours are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Exposition of Elegance: Classic Cars & Motorcycles

$14 for adult members, $12 for youth members, $22 for adults, $15 for youth and 2 and under get in free.
Stroll among 100 impeccably maintained classic cars and vintage motorcycles spanning six decades at Cheekwood (1200 Forrest Park Drive, Nashville). Plus, enjoy activities for kids, special music performances and tasty fare from local food trucks.

Big Band Dances kick of June 13 and bring the music and dance styles of the swing era to life with live bands playing hits from the 1930s and 1940s.

Big Band Dances take place every Saturday in summer, now through August 15, rotating between the Centennial Park’s Bandshell (2500 West End Ave., Nashville) and the Centennial Arts Center (301 25th Ave. N, Nashville). A live big band provides the music while you learn a different dance style. Food trucks are on site, or you can bring a cooler. If you’re new to the swing-era dance steps, there’s always a free lesson for everyone at 7 p.m. The evening’s big band takes over at 7:30 p.m.

Tonight, hear Alex Lambert, Jackson Dreyer and Kyndle Wylde perform under the stars.
Summer Songwriter Series at Rock Castle

The Summer Songwriter Series at Rock Castle (39 Rockcastle Lane, Hendersonville) features food trucks, inflatables, yard games and original music from Nashville’s brightest rising stars! The series features four single-day mini-festivals from 5 – 9 p.m. spread out over the summer months of May through August. Adults are $10 and children are free.

The inaugural concert series at Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage kicks off with an evening centered on R&B and Gospel traditions that continue to shape Tennessee music.
Roots & Rhythms Americana Concert Series (R&B and Gospel Night)

The Andrew Jackson Foundation presents the inaugural Roots & Rhythms Americana Concert Series, a three-night outdoor concert series held in June on the historic grounds of The Hermitage (4580 Rachel’s Lane, Hermitage). The series highlights musical traditions shaped by Tennessee through evenings of bluegrass, R&B and gospel and country. Each evening includes a Legacy Award presentation, live performances, and local food and drink in an open-air setting on the back lawn.
