Where Every Family Matters

PTA Connected: Helping You Navigate Your Kids’ Digital Lives

The newly launched PTA Connected aims to help parents keep up with their kids' digital lives this coming school year.

In our fast-paced screen-filled world, keeping up with your child online can feel like a full-time job. Especially when you’re already juggling work, school pickups, dinner, and everything in between. That’s why the National PTA is launching its 2025 PTA Connected Initiative: to make digital parenting easier, smarter, and more supportive for busy families.

Updated Resources

PTA Connected is a nationwide program that helps families build healthy digital habits. Launched in 2018, the initiative has evolved in 2025 to address today’s most pressing tech topics — like screen time management, online safety, social media pressure, and digital well-being.
The 2025 version includes updated resources, free family workshops, and new partnerships with major tech platforms to help you feel more confident raising kids in the digital age.

What’s New in PTA Connected?

This year’s initiative brings several updates, including:

1. Digital Wellness Roadmap for Families

A simplified guide to help parents and kids create balanced screen time routines, set boundaries, and foster healthier online habits — no tech degree required.

2. AI & Tech Safety Training

Understand what AI tools your children may be using at school or for entertainment—and how to keep them safe and responsible online.

3. Bilingual Workshops

For the first time, family workshops in English and Spanish are available.

4. Partnerships with TikTok, Google, and Common Sense Media

These collaborations provide updated tools, privacy guides, and expert-approved advice tailored for kids and teens in 2025.

Why This Matters for You

You don’t have time to research every new app, trend, or tech concern — and PTA Connected knows that. Their resources are designed to be:

  • Quick to read

  • Easy to implement

  • Backed by child development experts

Whether you’re a tech-savvy parent or just trying to keep up, PTA Connected helps you stay informed and involved — without adding to your already full plate.

How to Get Started

Getting involved is simple:

  1. Visit PTA.org/Connected
Explore the new 2025 tools, downloads, and webinar schedule.

  2. Attend a local PTA Connected Workshop
Check with your child’s school or PTA chapter for in-person or virtual sessions.

  3. Use the Digital Wellness Toolkit
Create a custom family tech plan with templates designed for busy households.

You don’t need to be an expert to help your child thrive online — you just need the right support. The PTA Connected Initiative 2025 aims to be your partner in parenting in the digital age, giving you practical tools to raise smart, safe, and kind digital citizens.
