What’s New at Holiday World & Splashin’ Safari for 2026?

Giant Rubber Ducks Are Taking Over Splashin’ Safari

One of the biggest highlights this summer is Rubber Duck Days, happening June 8–21.

The event features:

  • A 60-foot-tall mama duck (the world’s largest)
  • A 10-foot-tall duckling

Families can also enjoy duck-themed surprises, activities, and interactive fun throughout Splashin’ Safari. It’s quirky, hilarious, and made for summer family photos.

Celebrating America’s 250th Birthday

As part of the nationwide celebration of America’s 250th birthday, the park is expanding its patriotic entertainment lineup with: “Holidays in the Sky” which includes:

  • Bigger firework and drone shows happening June 20 – August 3
  • Special seasonal festivities

The nighttime entertainment has become a major draw for families staying late at the park. Included are a DJ and Dance Party, 500 illuminated drones and a fireworks finale.

New Food Options Parents Will Love

There are also several new food additions around the park this season, including:

  • Smash burgers
  • Fresh churros
  • Nutella funnel cake
  • Additional sweet treats and snack options

To make meals easier for busy families, Holiday World now offers mobile food ordering, helping you skip lines and spend more time riding coasters and floating lazy rivers.

Award-Winning Water Rides at Splashin’ Safari

There’s even more excitement after recent national recognition from the USA Today. The Southern Indiana parks received eight rankings in the most recent 10BEST Readers’ Choice Awards list, which honors the best theme parks and water parks in the country.  Splashin’ Safari was named No. 2 in the country’s best water parks, just behind Splashway Waterpark in Sheridan, Texas. Splashin’ Safari’s Wildebeest was chosen as the No. 1 water coaster in the country.
The park’s Bahari Wave Pool also placed second in the USA Today rankings, just behind Tsunami Bay at Lost Island Waterpark in Iowa. For parents with younger kids or teens who want a break from thrill rides, Bahari remains one of the most popular spots in the water park.

Why Nashville Families Love Holiday World

Holiday World continues to stand out for families because it combines:

  • Roller coasters
  • A full water park
  • Free soft drinks
  • Free sunscreen
  • Family-friendly attractions
  • Shorter drive times than many major theme parks

And with giant ducks, new food, expanded entertainment, and an 80th anniversary celebration, 2026 may be one of the best seasons yet to visit.
