Cheekwood Harvest

9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
During this six-week festival, Cheekwood (1200 Forrest Park Drive, Nashville) transforms into a seasonal wonderland. Highlights include the Pumpkin Village featuring three interactive pumpkin houses, a scarecrow trail and thousands of pumpkins.
New this year: The fun continues after dusk at Harvest NIGHTS on Thursdays and live music on the weekends. from 12 – 2 p.m. Plus, stroll the new “Marigold River,” featuring 2,500 blooms lining the walkway from the Bradford Robertson Color Garden to Arboretum Lawn.
Admission: $21-29 for adults who are not-yet members; $14-22 for youth who are not-yet members. Children 2 and under are free. There is a $2 service fee and $5 parking fee on each ticket. Members receive free admission.
Middle Tennessee Highland Games & Celtic Festival

This annual festival at Sanders Ferry Park (513 Sanders Ferry Road, Hendersonville) brings together families to celebrate the Scottish and Celtic traditions — some of which played a part in settling the state of Tennessee. Enjoy entertainment for all age groups, including a great Kids Zone and celtic crafts, Scottish and Irish dancers, solo piping, drum, and full pipe band competitions and more.

La Vergne Fall Festival

Celebrate the changing of the seasons while taking part in games and enjoying yummy food for La Vergne’s annual Fall Festival. The parade starts at 10 a.m. at Bicentennial Park at City Hall and ends at Veterans Memorial Park (115 Floyd Mayfield Drive, La Vergne), where the fun continues with activities and entertainment until 3:30 p.m.
